Greetings all, hasn’t the rain been wonderful.

Our day at the movies at the Oldie Clifton Movie Theatre was very enjoyable with lots of nostalgia. Ruth, with the assistance of Marie, looked after us very well as usual with morning tea on arrival before the movie “A Town Like Alice”, starring Peter Finch and Virginia McKenna. Not a dry eye in the house.

We then walked down the road to the Irish Pub where we had a lovely lunch with alternate drop of 5 meals. After lunch some of the ladies walked across the railway line to the main street to do some retail therapy, before our trip home.

Ron had arranged for a gentleman from the local flying group to join us on the bus for a drive around the aerodrome. He then invited us to view some planes in a hanger with great descriptions of their abilities. We then headed home as a big storm had passed over town and we needed to see the results. I don’t think anyone had any damage done.
